Classic Tiramisu

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups espresso, cooled
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. 1Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick.
  2. 2Fold in mascarpone until smooth.
  3. 3Whip cream to stiff peaks and fold into mascarpone mixture.
  4. 4Dip ladyfingers briefly in espresso.
  5. 5Layer ladyfingers and cream mixture in a dish.
  6. 6Repeat layers and refrigerate for 4 hours.
  7. 7Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
